Austria is a stunning European country blessed with the natural beauty of the Alps providing amazing opportunities for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. If you prefer to just take in the beauty of the mountains by sitting in pretty historic towns, drinking coffee or a glass of wine, Austria has plenty to choose from.
Check out St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna, Fortress Hohensalzburg in Salzburg or have a picnic at the top of Nordkette in Innsbruck. Unfortunately, we only had a few days in Austria but we really made the most of it.

Salzburg
Whether it’s visiting iconic scenes from The Sound of Music movie, admiring the baroque architecture, visiting Mozarts birthplace or enjoying the best chocolate Sacher cake, Salzburg has it all.

Vienna, Austria’s capital, is a city filled with art and music. Visit imperial palaces and stunning cathedrals and find a classical concert to enjoy.

Nestled in the heart of the Alps, Innsbruck has both city life and outdoor adventures. Travel to the top of Nordkette and enjoy a picnic surrounded by breathtaking views.
